We took time for one more hike at Zion before breaking for Moab. If you've never been here, you really need a week to see the park. This hike took us to the upper emerald pool, which is at the base of a 300' waterfall. It was only about 3 miles with a 350' elevation gain, but the trail did undulate quite a bit. The temperature difference from the trail to the pool was extreme, maybe 30° cooler at the pool.
Fall from middle to lower pond.
You can stand below this fall and get a nice shower.
The main fall at the upper pond from a distance. The hike takes you into a cavern at the base of this fall.
Brendon rock climbing next to the fall at upper pond.
I took this using Panaramio app on my iPhone. Delaney cooling off.
